[EN] When I was harassed, I often felt guilty about the way I dressed or where I chose to walk on the street. But the more aware I became of gender violence, the guilt began to turn to anger. Then I began to respond to the attacks by photographing the men who attacked me with my cell phone.

“las mujeres se encuentran supeditadas a expresiones concretas de agresiones y violencias, que las llevan a un punto crónico de habitar de forma subalterna los espacios”.

la territorialización masculina del espacio

Pero, una vez más, la sensación de  instantaneidad de la imagen fotográfica parecía no hacer justicia a la frustración. Así que dediqué varias horas a dibujar cada hombre fotografiado.

[EN] But, once again, the sense of instantaneousness of the photographic image did not seem to do justice to the frustration. So I spent several hours drawing each photographed man.

Yesterday, a stranger followed me on his bicycle. Today, the same man on the bicycle followed me.
I stopped jogging to chase after him and complain. He replied, "But I only called you my girl!"
A clown in a crosswalk, while juggling in front of the traffic, said, "Goodbye, darling."
His gaze was fixed on me, despite my expression of disgust.
I turned to see who was walking behind me, but it was a woman.
I was wearing baggy black pants, a dirty one. A brown faux-fur sweatshirt. And my hair was tied back in a messy bun.
He pretended not to have photographed me.
He raised his eyebrows at me, along with a sexual gesture on his face. He was an elderly man.
I responded with an obscene gesture. He responded in kind, adding more verbal attacks.
"Hi!" How are you!.
I checked to see if I didn't have semen on my clothes.
I felt like it was my fault for not wearing a less tight-fitting top.
I started walking faster and crossed the street as soon as I could.
As he passed me by, the man moved his head as if trying to smell my neck.
"Come here!" he demanded.
I was on the subway, packed with people. Before I knew it, the man had his hands inside my shirt. I didn't have a chance to react.
Beautiful!
He started chasing me down several blocks until I managed to lose him.
A patrol car passed by on the avenue. One of the officers stuck his head out of the window and shouted at me: "You're so hot!"
I was on the subway when I felt someone squeeze my buttocks.
There weren't many people around at that time of  the day. He followed me along the avenue until I hid in a supermarket.
He said, "You don't even have ass."
They started walking louder behind me, each one rating me and my appearance on a scale from 1 to 10.
